1. This promotion of 500 Free Kilometres (KM) (“FPO”) off your premium for driving your vehicle under your KOBA insurance policy is open to new customers who meet the eligibility criteria for the promotion as detailed in these terms & conditions (Promotional Offer).

2. To qualify for this Promotional Offer, you must:

   • purchase a new KOBA pay-per-KM car insurance policy;

   • not hold or have held a current KOBA pay-per-KM car insurance policy in the past;

   • use applicable promo code at checkout; and

   • meet other requirements in these Terms and Conditions during the Campaign Period (“Eligible Customer”).

3. This Promotional Offer does not extend to customers that purchase a new KOBA pay-per-KM car insurance policy through www.comparethemarket.com.au

4. The Campaign Period is from December 1st, 2022 to October 31st, 2023.

5. To receive the FPO, a new KOBA pay-per-KM car insurance policy must be quoted and purchased during the Campaign Period via www.kobainsurance.com.au/quote accessed either directly from our website or through any marketing or promotional material.

6. Once a new KOBA policy is purchased by an Eligible Customer, KOBA’s Customer Service Centre will apply the Free KM (Driving Premium Discount) directly to the customer’s policy.

7. If you receive the FPO, the total driving premium payable by you for your new KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policy will be applied as a Driving Premium Discount after you have driven the 1000 KM that would otherwise be payable by you for KOBA Insurance.

8. The Driving Premium Discount will be applied to the premium before we add taxes and charges.

9. This Driving Premium Discount is only available for the first year of a new KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policy. You must use the Driving Premium Discount entirely in the first year, otherwise you lose it. It is not available for current KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policies, subsequent renewals or any other changes to your KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policy.

10. If you are eligible for other discounts (in addition to this FPO), we will apply each discount in a predetermined order to the already discounted premium.

11. This FPO is available in conjunction with the “Cancellation Fee” promotional offer (CFPO) when purchasing a new KOBA pay-per-KM car insurance policy online, but is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers which may run from time to time on KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policies.

12. The Promoter is KOBA Insurance Pty Ltd, ABN 33 642 789 286 | AR 001288655 (KOBA), as agent of the insurer, Eric Insurance Limited ABN 18 009 129 793 | AFSL 238279 (eric).

13. All quotes provided are subject to the KOBA’s normal underwriting criteria.

14. KOBA pay-per-km car insurance is underwritten by eric. Customers should read the Product Disclosure Statement before buying the insurance. Visit kobainsurance.com.au for a copy. The Target Market Determination is also available.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to verify that a Customer satisfies these terms and conditions before providing the FPO.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, vary, amend, extend, cancel or withdraw, all or part of this Promotional Offer at any time, for any reason and without notice, at the Promoter’s sole discretion.

17. This Promotional Offer is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the FPO in its absolute discretion.

19. The FPO is not an insurance product, it is a discount by the Promoter to Eligible Customers.

20. If any provision in this Promotional Offer is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void, or unenforceable) will be struck out and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

21. The Promotional Offer is non-transferable, non-negotiable, and final.

22. Under no circumstances, will the Promoter be liable for any loss, expense, liability, impost or cost (whether direct, indirect or inconsequential) that an Eligible Customer may incur in relation to:

    • your participation in the Promotional Offer;

    • any payment or discount made under the Promotional Offer;

    • any modification of a payment or discount made under the Promotional Offer;

    • any removal of a payment or discount made under the Promotional Offer;

    • any change to the Promotional Offer; or

    • expiry or termination of the Promotional Offer.

23. Eligible Customers release and discharge the Promoter from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising from or relating to the Promotional Offer.

24. Eligible Customers must agree to these terms and conditions as well as our Terms of Business, available on our website, as a condition of your participation in the Promotional Officer. By purchasing the KOBA pay-per-km car insurance policy and claiming the Driving Premium discount offered by the FPO, you agree to these terms.
